Homa Bay Couple Faces Outrage After Allegedly Burning Son’s Hands and Forcing Him to Eat Vomit Over Unauthorized Meal

In a shocking incident in Homa Bay, a 35-year-old man and his wife have sparked widespread horror among locals after reportedly punishing their son by burning his hands and forcing him to consume his own vomit. The severe punishment was allegedly due to the boy eating food without permission.

The incident began when the couple’s firstborn son ate a portion of a meal featuring haplochromine cichlid, locally known as fulu, without their consent. The mother, whose identity remains undisclosed to protect the child, had prepared the dish before stepping out to purchase household items. Upon returning and discovering the missing food, she informed her husband, leading to a disturbing chain of events.

Enraged, the couple allegedly forced their son to overeat as a form of discipline. According to Enos Nyawade, Assistant Chief of Kajwang Sub-location, the boy was made to eat excessively until he vomited. In a horrifying escalation, the parents reportedly compelled him to eat the vomit collected in a basin. They then allegedly tied his hands and burned them with a heated piece of plastic.

The incident came to light after a concerned neighbor reported the abuse to authorities. Nyawade condemned the act, emphasizing the need to protect children and treat them as precious gifts. “Some turn to witchdoctors in despair when they lose children, yet fail to value those they have. If you’re blessed with a child, nurture them with care,” he urged.

This disturbing case has ignited conversations about child welfare, urging authorities and communities to address and prevent such acts of cruelty.
